What did I learn that could be used with my learners? Students can embed video into their blog by copying the embed code into the HTML script in Blogger. This can also be resized to fit as required by changing the values for width and height.

What does the Learn look like at YOUR school? There are teachers who are familiar with the Manaiakalani kaupapa and pedagogy. For teachers who are not familiar, this blog will be shared with colleagues as a resource to find tools, tips and tricks. What did I learn that could improve my workflow as a professional? The one thing that I feel will help me improve my workflow is "Taming the Tabs". Grouping tabs by right-clicking on a tab. At the start of the lesson, I get organised by opening all the tabs I need and then when I try to find the correct one, I cannot read the entire tab label, so I scroll through the tabs until I can find the tab that I am looking for. By using OneTab, I can now put a label for each class and open one tab for each of my classes that will list all the websites and cloud resources. This can be downloaded from here.

Google Keep is a useful tool to quickly make notes and also capture the text from a photo. This would be useful in different situations such as making notes different from someone's presentation and using the text to make record your own notes under the respective headings.

Make a screen recording of a small group discussion about selected learner blogs.
Kia ora Satchet, thank you for sharing your reflections and learning from the DFI. I love it how you are treating this as a shared learning opportunity by creating detailed notes and describing your insights in detail so that they can be a helpful learning resource for other teachers at your school.
ReplyDeleteGreat that you picked on my intentions of sharing and caring! I wish that there will be more sharing and collaboration going on. Thank you for setting up my blog, it has inspired me to continue my learning journey.
DeleteThanks for sharing Satchet. I will follow your professional blog with great interest!
ReplyDeleteGreat thanks Troy for reading my post. I am currently doing the esports Teacher Academy training this week. Hopefully I will have the knowledge and skills to introduce esports into our kura. It has huge potential for our rangatahi.
